We’ve received reports of a scam caller identifying themselves as “Deputy Marshal” from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, claiming that the recipient has missed jury duty. The scammer then asks for personal information and debit/credit card details. This is a scam!

Remember:

• The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office does not have a Deputy Marshal.
• We will never call and demand payment over the phone.
• Do not share personal or financial information with unknown callers.
• If you receive a call like this, hang up immediately and report it to us.
