The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is proud to once again participate in the annual Hands Across the Border campaign, which brings together law enforcement from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia to conduct joint safety checkpoints and remove impaired drivers from our roadways.

On Thursday night, deputies will join a multi-agency safety checkpoint at the Talmadge Bridge (US-17 @ GA state line) and will also increase traffic enforcement throughout Labor Day weekend.

Our goal is simple: to keep our roads safe and prevent tragedy. Please celebrate responsibly this holiday weekend. Don’t drink and drive.
