Lt. James Hubbard – Department Spotlight – April 12, 2021

Lt-James-Hubbard

This week’s Department Spotlight introduces our new promoted Lt. James Hubbard.

Lt. Hubbard has been promoted over the Criminal Investigative Division and we are happy to have him a part of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office with the many years of experience he brings.  Lt. Hubbard was previously with the Hardeeville Police Dept. for 26 years, the last six were as Department Chief. Lt. Hubbard was born and raised in Hardeeville, SC and says he is “proud to be a part of Jasper County as a citizen and a public servant.” When Lt. Hubbard was a child he always felt a calling to help people, so once of age, he became Hardeeville’s first ever full time firefighter. After years of working as a firefighter, he saw the wonderful things local police were doing and decided to follow suit.
Years later Lt. Hubbard says “working JCSO offers me a larger opportunity to learn and be around more people from different walks of life. This administration is focused on meeting the needs of EVERYONE in the community and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
When asked what advice he would offer to the younger generations of our local community he said, “Be as involved in your community as much as possible. We all need each other so let’s meet in the middle with mutual respect and get to know one another.”
Please join us in welcoming Lt. James Hubbard to his new position and thank him for his many years of service to Jasper County.
