This week’s Department Spotlight is Lance Corporal Eric Dodson.
LC Dodson transplanted here from up north after his 12 year career in the Marine Corps. LC Dodson comes to us experienced as a former Machine Gunner, Rifle and Pistol Instructor, and a Martial Arts Instructor Trainer. He says “I’ve always wanted to use my life to help others, so getting into law enforcement, was my way of transitioning back to the civilian world.”
“Working with The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office has allowed us the freedom and privileges to complete our job in a safe way, for not only us as officers, but the public as well.” Dodson said.
We asked LC Dodson to give encouraging words of advise to the younger members of our community, he quoted “Trust and believe in your capabilities. Be your own person, family history does not define how far you can go in your own life.”
